Catalyst MICR Fonts Install for Production Services - IRD Report Printing

Installing Catalyst MICR Fonts for Production Services

 

Install the 2 fonts located at \\helpdeskstor\general\Catalyst\Fonts

 

After they are installed, go to c:\windows\fonts and uninstall the one called MICR but leave the one

Called MCR.

If Production Services calls to say the IRD (Return Check Replacements) is not printing characters correctly in the MICR line:

Remote to the PC and open Control Panel \ Fonts

Locate the font Mirc Extended Medium, right click on it and select Delete

Another Micr Plain Regular font will appear. Delete it as well.

Then you might see Micr Medium. Delete it also

Now go to \\helpdeskstor\General\Catalyst\Fonts and install both the mcr_____ and mcre______ True Teyp font files that are in this folder.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO INSTALL THESE FILES WITHOUT DELETING THE ABOVE FILES - IT WILL NOT WORK!

 

Also, ensure the IRD Printer Printing Preferences are set up - under the Paper/Quality tab, the Print Quality box (on the right hand side) should be 600 dpi and under the Effect tab, Resizing Options ensure Actual Size is selected
