- Get terminals connected to the network and setup with static IPs
- Do a site survey at each branch,(make sure there is a network drop to use)
- Set the Terminals up with static IPs(Procedure is below
- Plug into the network
- Test
- Configure Firewall
- Setup Security policy
i. Allow terminals access to destination IPs over 443, 550, and 5003
ii. Monitor Traffic
- Configure NAC Policy
- Create Policy in Policy manager(Give Terminals only Inet access)
- Assign to ports
- Test
You will need this information. Get the IP addresses from your system administrator before you begin.

Terminal IP Address |
The terminal's internet protocol address (example 10. 50. 3. 57) |
Terminal Subnet Mask |
The address identifying the subnet to which the terminal IP address belongs (example 255.255.255. 0). |
Gateway IP Address |
The address identifying the node on a network that serves as an entrance to another network (example 10. 50. 3. 1) |
Terminal DNS IP Address |
The address of the domain name system that translates domain names into IP addresses (example 10. 50. 4. 1). |
Daylight Savings |
Indicates whether the terminal will automatically adjust the time to meet the requirements for Daylight Savings time. |
Terminal Time |
The internal time the terminal uses for the clock display and timestamping functions. |
From the home screen (the screen that says financial and IP diagnostics), press the blue Function key to access the Maintenance screen.
Select Deployment Config, then press Enter.
Select Terminal Config, then press Enter.
When prompted to allow the DHCP server to set the IP, select No, then press Enter.
Type the terminal IP address , then press Enter. Type the terminal subnet mask, then press Enter. Type the terminal gateway IP address, then press Enter. Type the terminal DNS IP address, then press Enter. When prompted for a daylight savings preference, select Enable, then press Enter. Type the current time in the format shown on the screen and select AM or PM, then press Enter. When prompted to configure a download host, select No, then press Enter. When prompted to save the changes, select Yes, then press Enter. The screen indicates that saving is in progress. The terminal desktop appears.
