Verifast Client Branch Installation Procedure

Verifast 4.1 Client Branch Installation Procedure

Configure PINPad devices for USB communication. DO NOT PLUG IN USB TO PC

  1. Plug the device’s power and press #2 at splash screen and release. If you miss it, unplug the power and restart.
  2. Once the menu screen appears, press the #4 to set to USB

Create Terminal ID

  1. Log onto Verifast: http://prodverifast/dms/   (using Alli’s right now - in KeePass)
  2. Expand Branch Setup
  3. Click on Terminal
  4. Select Branch
  5. Enter the Terminal ID (Branch initials,VF,4 digit number: 0001, 0002, etc. KMVF0001)
  6. PINPad Type: Select PAX mT30 from PINPad type drop down.
  7. PINPad Serial No: Flip the unit over for the Serial #
  8. Leave remaining options as defaults.
  9. Click Save then click the Refresh button.
  10. Continue until all terminals for branch have been entered.

Installing the Verifast Client on the PC - DO NOT PLUG IN USB TO PC YET

  1. Log on with elevated rights
  2. If needed, uninstall Verifiast 3.8 Client
  3. Go to Islandstor\Windows7packages\Misc\Verifast Client and copy the folder to C:\temp
  4. Right click on Verifast Client and run as admin.
  5. Next, Next
  6. Enter appropriate value for connection to the Verifast server:
    1. Verifast Server Port: 10041
    2. Verifast Host I.P. : 10.20.0.34
  7. Enter appropriate value for connection to the Verifast server:
  8. Next, Install, Finish

The rest is usually done at the branch when replacing the PC

  1. Plug in PINPad’s USB cable to workstation (should get an error message).
  2. Go to computer management and under device manager go to ports. Select PINPad device and select load driver. Go to folder location C:\Verifast Client and check include sub folders. Click ok to load driver (if shows COM# - it’s okay)
  3. Run Verifast client. Terminal will initialize. Initialize process takes about 20 minutes to complete.
