PC Replacement Steps

  1. Lansweep of current applications on PC
  2. Check current checklist (\\helpdeskstor\helpdesk\0PC Deployment Checklists\Completed Project) for additional software\desktop links not listed in Lansweep
  3. Start image
  4. Create deployment checklist (can modify the one in \\helpdeskstor\helpdesk\0PC Deployment Checklists\Completed Project)
  5. Use IT checklist created in step 4 for adding PC to Card Wizard, AD Groups, additional items under step 6, etc
  6. Move new PC to location container in AD
    1. Update in SCLogic (location, User ID and MAC)
    2. Update Inventory file (\\helpdeskstor\helpdesk\0INVENTORY LIST FOR LAPTOP and PC\NICU  LAPTOP  and PC INVENTORY.xls)
  7. Move old PC into the Pending Deletion container in AD (in Description type in PENDING WIPE and date 1 week away)
    1. Update in SCLogic (location- old to TSD Storage, new to Help Desk Imaging)
    2. After 1 week remove old PC from AD and SCCM and send email to JT, CF, TB and Helpdesk
    3. Wipe old PC
