Addmaster IJ7XXX Configuration

Issue:

• Addmaster (receipt printer) will not reprint
• Paper readjusts

 

Resolution:

 

Configuring IJ7XXX Addmaster Printer (see attachment for detailed instructions)

(all dipswitches up)

 

Go to: \\helpdeskstor\general\Addmaster IJ7102\IJ7x_Tools.zip\IJ7x_Tools and double-click on the ij7000_config_app zip folder

This will open the file on the local drive: C:\Users\rvargas\AppData\Local\Temp\Temp4_IJ7x_Tools.zip\IJ7x_Tools\ij7000_config_app.zip

 

1. Open the ij7000_config_app file

(you should get a Usb offline, assuming COM1: popup – click OK)

 

1. Once the Config app sees the printer and launches, choose Read All, in the lower right hand corner. 

May get Error opening printer if OSI is open (if so, close OSI and click Read All again)

 

 As it reads you will see the Blue Progress Bar.

 

1. Check Disable Alignment before Validation and Enable Reprint Feature (leave Disable Journal Printing checked)
2. Under SETUP ID, in the Setup Version box type: 038 (remove auto form alignment. 039 keeps auto form alignment) and Setup Revision box type: 1
3. Click Write All. This updates the printer’s configuration on the device.
4. Click Exit when finished.
5. Open OSI and test the Addmaster to ensure the form does not realign and you can reprint (after first test, remove paper, replace it and press the 2 button)
6. On the bottom of the Addmaster, highlight the -2V of the model number to indicate it has been configured.
