Server - IR_ECW2K3DC_ECW2K3TS_Outage_2010_01_25

Description Of Incident:

•  The El Cajon Branch domain controller and terminal servers rebooted unexpectedly.  

Cause:

• Event logs for both servers showed a generic error message of ‘The previous system shutdown was unexpected”. Probable cause is a bad uninterruptible power supply (UPS) which powers both servers.

Resolution:

•  UPS was replaced last Saturday, January 30, 2010 by Fred Ballecer.
