Description Of Incident:
- Training (Sharon Ladd) contacted Adam to let him know that branch training servers were no longer serving video. We attempted to connect to them for debugging, but found they were not remotely accessible.
Cause:
- Under the fixed IP scheme, the training servers were not administrable remotely. As this worked previously, the cause is undetermined.
Resolution:
- Each video server will need to be reconfigured to use DHCP at the branch so that they can be further reconfigured. We talked with Sharon and determined the most critical servers for fixing (Mira Mesa, South Bay, Scripps Poway), which were scheduled to be addressed by Help Desk and Adam over the following week and a half with Sharon’s acceptance of the schedule. From here on, this will be managed under problem management.
