Sales Vision - IE 11 How to Make the Legacy Application Work

How to make the legacy Sales Vision application work in Internet Explorer 11

To make the legacy Sales Vision application work Internet Explorer 11, you must enable “Enterprise Mode.” Here are the steps you need to take:

  1. Click on the Start menu in Windows, click Run and type msc to launch the Local Group Policy Editor
  2. In the Local Group Policy Editor, expand User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components and click on Internet Explorer. Right-click on Use the Enterprise Mode IE website list and click Edit
  3. Click the Enabled radio button, enter https://customers.salesviz.com/SalesVision/SV_EnterpriseMode.xml in the URL textbox in the Options area, click Apply, then click OK and close the Local Group Policy Editor
    1. Note: if you have Sales Vision in house, see page 4 for more information on the above XML file

On the login page for Sales Vision, you notice a building icon to the left of the URL. This indicates you are now in Enterprise Mode.

Below are “before” and “after” views after enabling Enterprise Mode for the Sales Vision application in Internet Explorer 11.

If you have the Sales Vision System in house, then you will need to create an XML file for your local Sales Vision server using the template below. You will change the domain in the example to the name of the Sales Vision server and have your users point to the XML file path on the Sales Vision server. The file path to the XML file will be something like http://NameOfYourSalesVisionServer/SalesVision/SV_EnterpriseMode.xml (assuming a path of C:\inetpub\wwwroot\SalesVision on the server)

If you have other applications that are non-IE 11 compliant, you can create your own XML file and add these applications to it, as well as the Sale Vision System.
