OSI - Creating a Zip Code

This can be done by the Helpdesk Staff

Request User to provide complete Address for search

Zip Code Validation (see attached for detailed instructions)

Enter below required information => Click Find

Validate Address and Zip Code Exist

If it’s an FPO or APO address (a military address), USPS.com will not find it so check to see if Requester has verified.

Go To OSI application

• Select Services => System => System Tables => S-Z Tables => Zip5
• Validate Zip Code in OSI
• Click Zip Code => Enter Zip Code => Click Query
• No Zip Code exists for validated location, click Create
• Enter Zip Code, State Code, City Name,
  -  for FPO\APO: State Code usually AE and City Name: FPO or APO
• Click Process
• Search and if get error message just continue on.

For 4 digit extension:

• Select Services => System => System Tables => S-Z Tables => Zip9
• ZIPCD: Enter Zip Code
• ZIPSUF: Enter 4 digit extension
• Click Process
