User receiving error message while attempting to open a .jpg from email (Outlook 2010)
Can’t create file: filename. Right-click the folder you want to create the file in, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu to check your permissions for the folder.
CAUSE:
- This indicates that the Temporarily Internet Files folder has reached the storage limitations.
SOLUTION:
From regedit, navigate to:
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Office > 14.0 > Outlook > Security to find OutlookSecureTempFolder.
- Copy the path under Value Data.
- Open My Computer and paste the value in the address bar.
- Delete some, or all files from this location.
- Close Outlook and re-launch.
- You should be able to open attachments at this point.
