Technical Issues
As with any program, technical issues will sometimes arise. When there are technical issues with obtaining either a ChexSystems or eIDcompare that prevent you from performing the
inquiry you should:
- Inform the applicant that required account opening screening software [name of software] is unavailable at this time but you will proceed with account opening and perform the inquiry later.
- Place holds on any checks to protect the Credit Union from losses should the inquiry prove to be derogatory.
- If eIDcompare is not available, obtain a different secondary ID from the approved list.
- Re-verify contact information to be certain you can contact the applicant if needed once the inquiry is performed.
